Knowledge Map-Based Analysis of Carbon Sequestration Research Dynamics in Forest and Grass Systems: A Bibliometric Analysis DOI Creative Commons

Forest and grass systems are globally significant carbon-sequestering ecosystems, crucial for mitigating climate change optimizing ecological management. To clarify the research history, major contributing groups, hotspots related to carbon sequestration in global forest systems, this study utilizes core ensemble of Web Science database as its data source. Employing bibliometric methodology software, such VOSviewer 1.6.20 CiteSpace 5.7.R1, we analyzed development 594 relevant publications from 2010 2024, focusing on their developmental lineage, current status, visualizing analyzing frontiers. The results indicate that volume literature generally follows pattern a logistic growth curve, demonstrating an upward trend 2024. primary contributors consist 400 researchers, including Nath, Arun Jyoti, Ajit, well 378 organizations across 42 countries, China, USA, India. China’s contribution field is rapidly increasing, accounting over 20% total articles, with ‘Chinese Acad Sci’ ‘Univ Chinese being most prominent contributors, together representing 10.45% field. 179 journals, Agroforestry Systems Forests, serve platform academic exchange predominant directions found areas ‘Environmental Sciences & Ecology’ ‘Agriculture’, which collectively account 50% publications. Additionally, focused ‘Sequestration’ increasingly examining relationship between grassland factors change, ecosystem productivity, biodiversity. keyword clusters ‘#0 ferralsol’ ‘#4 ecosystem’ have consistently represented important throughout period. A 21 keywords were identified, ‘land use change’ exhibiting highest intensity at 4.4524. Future should not only prioritize integration impacts but also enhance collaboration among authors institutions. Furthermore, it essential promote multidisciplinary cross-regional collaborative innovations by leveraging emerging technologies AI genetic engineering.
