The global energy crisis and environmental pollution issues caused by the continuous consumption of fossil fuels are increasingly becoming severe. Developing clean sustainable hydrogen (H2) corresponding storage conversion devices have attracted increasing attention. utilization H2 highly depends on fuel cell (FC). However, slow kinetics oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) cathode FC cannot be improved without efficient catalysts. Currently, precious metal platinum (Pt) its alloys commonly used catalysts for ORR process. scarcity high cost Pt hinder their large-scale practical application. To replace typical Pt-based catalysts, non-precious electrocatalysts been investigated ORR. Inspired catalytic active center Fe porphyrin cytochrome c oxidase in nature, metalloporphyrin-based frameworks derivatives become promising due to abundant conjugated electronic structure, tunable functional groups, large specific surface area. First, this review briefly introduces porphyrins mechanisms. Second, recent progress porphyrin-based including frameworks, framework@substrate composites, framework-based was summarized.
