Bu çalışmanın amacı sosyal medya bağımlılığının siberkondriyi anlamlı biçimde yordayıp yordamadığını incelemektir. Ayrıca, bu çalışma kapsamında siberkondrinin yetişkinlerin sağlık kurumlarına aylık başvuru sıklığı ve günlük kullanım sürelerine göre şekilde farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın grubunu Ankara ilinde ikamet etmekte olan 196 kadın 188 erkek olmak üzere toplam 384 yetişkin oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma veri toplamak için katılımcılara, araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan Kişisel Bilgi Formu (KBF), Siberkondri Ciddiyet Ölçeği (SCÖ-33) Bergen Sosyal Medya Bağımlılığı (BSMBÖ) uygulanmıştır. amacını gerçekleştirmek nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Abstract Background There is an increase in smartphone usage globally. Cyberchondria (CYB) characterized by excessive Internet searches for health information. Smartphone addiction constantly rising among medical students together with CYB as a collateral emerging risk, yet there limited research available on the topic. Methods This cross-sectional study explores phenomenon of and its potential role seven Egyptian universities. A total 1435 participated completing online questionnaires that assessed using Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV) Severity Scale (CSS-12). Multivariable regression analysis was applied to assess predictors CYB. Results Based used scales, 57.6% were suffering from addiction, 85.8% exhibited moderate degree significant positive correlation between scores ( p < 0.05). The multivariable models revealed four factors including Facebook, WhatsApp, increasing time spent per day, higher score probability addiction. are frequency searches, worry about one’s or family member’s health, being addict. Background: The Internet is a popular source of health information, but too much research can cause anxiety (cyberchondria). Medical and non-medical personnel interpret information differently, leading to varying rates cyberchondria. Smartphone addiction may also contribute cyberchondria impact mental health. Methods: study was an epidemiological survey-based investigation with cross-sectional design involving undergraduate students (aged 18 years or older) from Indian universities colleges. utilized the Cyberchondria Severity Scale-Short Form (CSS-12), WHO-5 well-being index, Addiction Version (SAS-SV). Results: A total 1033 participants (53.1% females 46.4% males) were recruited in survey. Of participants, 58.5% pursuing medical paramedical courses, while remaining 41.5% belonged group. High-severity present about 4.4% students. cohort demonstrated significantly lower cumulative CSS comparison (t = - 3.90; P < 0.01). observed 57.2% individuals group 55.9% ( 0.68). had mean score compared (58.4 vs. 59.6; There positive correlation between severity smartphone addiction, which consistent across both groups. Purpose: This study investigated the mechanism underlying association between intolerance of uncertainty and mobile phone addiction among Chinese overseas students during COVID-19 pandemic by examining mediating roles perceived stress rumination. Patients Methods: An online questionnaire survey was distributed via social media platforms popular in mainland China. The items collected demographic information assessed uncertainty, stress, rumination, addiction. A total 249 respondents completed questionnaire.
