Abstract: Trust in news media (TNM) has continued declining some countries (e.g., US) while remaining stable or even increasing others China). Scholars are interested understanding what factors contribute to these differences. A reliable and equivalent measurement is essential for cross-national comparisons of TNM. However, there currently no instrument available measure generalized TNM China. This study examined the psychometric properties Generalized News Media Scale (GTNMS) The sample comprised 578 participants, including 347 females (60.0%) 231 males (40.0%). Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), bifactor-CFA, bifactor Exploratory Structural Equation Modelling (bifactor-ESEM) were adopted examine construct validity Chinese version GTNMS. Measurement invariance (MI) predictive GTNMS also examined. results revealed that adaptation demonstrated optimal representation through a bifactor-ESEM, comprising global factor (G-factor) four specific (S-factors). Both G-factor S-factors showed acceptable internal consistency reliability. retained lower level specificity after controlling G-factor, which indicated was essentially unidimensional. from analysis only could predict individuals’ avoidance. Objectives: To facilitate research on digital hoarding in China, this study evaluated the psychometric properties of Digital Hoarding Scale (DHS). Methods: A total 618 participants were recruited through an online survey. The factorial structure, measurement invariance (MI), reliability, and validity DHS tested. Results: Chinese version was best represented by a bifactor exploratory structural equation modeling representation, which contains one general factor three specific factors. MI established across gender age groups. Reliabilities factors demonstrated high values omega coefficients. Moreover, criterion supported positive associations between physical disorder, obsessive-compulsive anxiety. Conclusions: is reliable tool for future studies investigating Chinese.
