Rural development is a multifaceted concept encompassing economic, social, cultural, and environmental dimensions. This paper explores the various factors involved in promoting rural development, with focus on outcome produced by interplay between agriculture, infrastructure non-farm activities, social cultural relations, education, sustainability government interventions. Drawing from scholarly literature empirical evidence, it examines role of each these components enhancing well-being communities. Agriculture remains cornerstone economies, but diversification into activities are equally important. Infrastructure investments improve market access, reduce transaction costs, stimulate economic activity, while contribute to job creation income generation. Moreover, entrepreneurship innovation can drive growth create opportunities for businesses. Social relations play vital fostering community cohesion resilience. Education emerges as key enabler empowering individuals skills knowledge needed participate life effectively. Environmental integral ensures long-term viability ecosystems livelihoods. Overall, requires coordinated efforts across multiple fronts, involving stakeholders sectors. Quality of life can be generally defined as people’s satisfaction with their lives and personal wellbeing. Contemporary literature agrees that dimensions such health, education, employment, leisure, social relations, security, environment, landscape, cultural heritage should considered. Tourism serves a stimulus for rural development, assessing residents’ tourists’ quality is relevant local administrators tourist destination. Given the absence quality-of-life models individual municipalities, research questions were aimed at mapping frameworks construction set indicators Alagna Valsesia. This was conducted in 2023. Mental Well-Being and the Quality of Life Among Retired Public and Private Sector Employees: A Comparative Study From Kerala, India DOI Open Access

Background Retirement from an active working environment is one of the important risk factors for mental health problems. The literature on well-being and quality life among retired public private sector employees in Kerala limited. We conducted this study to compare well-being, associated with them Kollam district, Kerala. Methods This community-based cross-sectional was 320 (mean age 69.5 years, Men 172 (53.8%), 160 (50%)) selected using multistage cluster sampling. Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS) WHO QoL BREF questionnaire were used data collection. Multivariate analyses find out life. Results Among employees, 94 (58.75%) those three (1.88%) reported low (Adjusted prevalence ratio (APR) =21.28, 95% CI: 6.34-71.36, p=<0.001). Participants aged > 68 years (APR=1.36, 1.03-1.79, p=0.026) rural residents (APR= 1.47, 1.09-1.97, p=0.016) lower compared their counterparts. Retired employees' higher Mean Difference (AMD) =18.67, 15.48-21.86, p=<0.001) employees. <= (AMD=7.01, 4.49-9.52, p=<0.001), male gender (AMD=4.25, 1.68-6.81, p=0.001), (AMD= 2.6, 0.08-5.13, p=0.043) belonging above poverty line (AMD=8.12, 4.08-12.16, had scores.
