Published research involving Indigenous Peoples is largely deficit-based, which can perpetuate stereotypes against Peoples. We conducted a scoping review to understand what currently known about the linguistic representation of included peer-reviewed articles from all disciplines published between 2000 and 2024 on language use discourse in context framing, bias, and/or stereotyping Canada, United States, Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand. Of 1672 articles, 80 were reviewed analyzed by mode language, field study, time. A subset (n = 60) underwent reflexive thematic analysis, we identified seven themes. found that representations disproportionately negative involved deficit- rather than strengths-based discourse. Greater attention needed within healthcare education, future should include historical documents academia.

Abstract Narrm‐Melbourne, Australia, has been at the forefront of urban biodiversity research, planning and management for 50 years in landscapes that have many endemic threatened species remnant ecosystems. Yet a range emerging social ecological challenges are must be addressed Narrm‐Melbourne to continue leader practice. Drawing on key insights from this work our own experience working research practice, we explore three dimensions planning—land‐use planning, open space conservation planning. Key currently being experienced include greater recognition ecosystems as cultural Traditional Owner rights, knowledge practices; climate change heat; participation multicultural general public. These also provide opportunities achieving positive outcomes multiple scales consistent with goals targets Global Biodiversity Framework. Practical implication . Innovations system could help achieve these decolonising by recognising determinants current ecosystem structure function, involving Owners co‐management landscapes. A focus resilience connected multifunctional habitats will allow move beyond its historic conventional local community composition. And finally, engagement diverse communities increase diversity decision‐making can contribute function.

Using a robust theoretical framework, it compared historical significance practices with contemporary landscape technology education. By conducting an in-depth review existing literature and analysing ongoing curricular initiatives, elucidated both challenges advantages such integration. Despite encountering institutional pedagogical hurdles, incorporation enriches education by providing contextualised, culturally sensitive, comprehensive learning experience. The findings in this highlight necessity addressing barriers to effectively integrate Strategic recommendations are proposed overcome these enhance process.
