Effects of Tai Chi Chuan on cognitive function in adults 60 years or older with mild cognitive impairment: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Mild

(TCC)
intervention

This
systematic
review
meta-analysis
of
randomized
controlled
trials
(RCTs)
examined
TCC's
effects
its
duration-response
relationship
in
adults
60
years
or
older
with
MCI.
Seven
electronic
databases
were
searched
for
relevant
literature,
English
as
the
sole
inclusion
criterion
language.
The
methodological
quality
risk
bias
all
included
RCTs
assessed
using
Cochrane
Risk
Bias
(2.0)
tool.

evaluated

Purpose:
This
study
examined
speech-language
pathologists'
(SLPs')
professional
knowledge,
training
experiences,
and
attitudes
in
assessing
treating
individuals
with
cancer-related
cognitive
impairments
(CRCIs).
Understanding
these
concepts
is
necessary
for
evaluating
SLPs'
role
supporting
CRCIs.
Method:
A
web-based
survey
was
completed
by
147
SLPs
over
a
2-month
period.
The
explored
their
training,
regarding
CRCI
assessment
intervention.
Results:
Three
quarters
of
participants
reported
some
experience
Most
that
providing
care
CRCIs
within
the
SLP
scope
practice
(97%)
an
ethical
responsibility
(93%).
Approximately
65%
form
services
this
population;
98%
would
pursue
diagnostic
future,
66%
intervention
future.
Regarding
attitudes,
80%
shared
they
were
comfortable

to
CRCIs,
