Purpose: to determine the metabolomics profiles in plasma samples of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) patients. Nutrients involved in the metabolism of inorganic arsenic (iAs) may play a crucial role mitigating adverse health effects associated with such exposure. Hair emerged as a biospecimen for long-term investigation of endogenous metabolic perturbations, reflecting the chemical composition circulating in blood over past months. Despite its potential, use human hair metabolomics Alzheimer's disease (AD) research remains limited. Here, we performed both untargeted and targeted metabolomic approaches to profile key pathways 5xFAD mice, widely used AD mouse model. Furthermore, applied discovered metabolites subjects. samples were collected from 6-month-old stage marked by widespread accumulation amyloid plaques brain, followed sample preparation high-resolution mass spectrometry analysis.
