Introduction.
The
education
sector
has
been
severely
affected
by
the
pandemic
caused
sudden
outbreak
of
coronavirus
disease
(COVID-19),
despite
preventive
measures
taken

innovations
brought
to
mitigate
its
effects.
Purpose.
This
study
investigated
impact
alienation
experienced
EFL
teachers
as
a
result
obligatory
social
distancing
that
become
new
normal
because
COVID-19
pandemic.
Further,
it
was
determined
whether
gender,
educational
level,
institution
type,
years
experience
in
profession
were
among
active
determinants
work
alienation.

Abstract
The
primary
objective
of
this
study
is
to
investigate
how
perceived
social
support
influences
workplace
loneliness,
with
a
focus
on
the
mediating
role
work
alienation.
Existing
research
relationship
between
support,
and
employee
engagement
notably
limited.
Recognizing
significance
connections
in
individuals'
lives,
it
crucial
acknowledge
that
substantial
portion
our
time
spent
workplace.
Failing
cultivate
such
relationships
may
predispose
individuals

feelings
loneliness.
Employing
cross-sectional
design,
gathered
data
from
convenient
sample
comprising
178
participants
(48
males,

females),
aged

years

questionnaires,

Loneliness

Scale,
Multidimensional
Scale
Perceived
Social
Support,
Alienation
were
utilized
for
collection.
findings
revealed
negative
correlation
loneliness
(r=-.729,
p<.01).
Similarly,
exhibited
association
alienation
(r=-.744,
Additionally,
emerged
as
robust
mediator
(z
=
-4.12,
p
.000).
To
enhance
explanatory
capacity
proposed
model,
future
studies
could
consider
incorporating
additional
variables.
