ABSTRACT Background Previous studies on temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) in early adolescence have predominantly featured Western samples, with a focus mental ill‐being. Objectives This pioneering study investigated the relationships between TMD pain, somatic symptoms, and both well‐being It also examined mind–body correlates Asian young adolescents. Methods Participants, aged 14, were enrolled public school. They completed survey that included socio‐demographics, Pain Screener, Patient Health Questionnaire‐15, Life Goals Questionnaire, Meaning Child Adolescent Social Support Scale, Satisfaction With Depression, Anxiety Stress Scales‐21. Data analysed using chi‐square/Mann–Whitney U tests Spearman's correlation ( α = 0.05). Results Among 142 participants (52.8% female), 12.0% presented pain 35.2% experienced medium‐to‐high symptoms. Individuals moderate‐to‐high symptoms had significantly higher scores for symptom burden/TMD depression, anxiety stress, while having substantially lower presence of life meaning satisfaction, compared to those without none/minimal‐to‐low Moderate correlations observed r s 0.40), as well stress 0.51 0.57). satisfaction was negatively correlated emotional distress −0.43 −0.61). School is known to be an important aspect affecting LS, but there are gender differences in how schools may influence LS. However, little about these countries. Objective A series statistical analyses (bivariate associations, multilevel regression, Blinder-Oaxaca decomposition analyses) using PISA 2015 data on 15-year-old students 33 Method Results Girls report lower overall LS than boys average all the countries studied. Various cross-national patterns emerge regarding role schools. Dynamic interplay of developing internalising and externalising mental health from early childhood to mid-adolescence: Teasing apart trait, state, and cross-cohort effects DOI Creative Commons

The current study examined the within-child, between-child, and between-cohort effects in longitudinal relations between within internalising externalising mental health symptoms' domains. Leveraging data of 5998 children (ages 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 years; 49% female) from sequential Growing Up Australia dual-cohort, multigroup measurement invariance, random-intercept cross-lagged panel models were deployed. Purpose The current study aims to examine the relationship between self-compassion and life satisfaction in Vietnamese adolescents investigate possibility that emotional behavioural problems mediate this relationship.
