Background Depression poses a considerable personal and public health problem, particularly in the post-epidemic era. The present study aimed to investigate association between meaning life (MIL) perceived social support (PSS) with depressive symptoms among vocational undergraduate students, employing network analysis approach gain deeper understanding of underlying pathways prevent progression into disorders. Methods A total 1367 Chinese undergraduates ( M age = 20.1, SD 1.6; 44.7% female) were recruited asked complete series questionnaires, including questionnaire, scale, patient questionnaire. regularized partial correlation was estimated. correlations nodes calculated as edges. Moreover, comparison tests conducted compare three subnetworks based on different levels depression (minimal, subthreshold, moderate/severe). Results top strength within each identified sleep motor minimal group, anhedonia concentration subthreshold moderate/severe group. Additionally, bridge determined MIL-3 , MIL-4 guilt school group; suicide friend MIL-9, MIL-7 family Furthermore, showed significant differences centrality (all p < 0.05), while invariance remained constant across groups. Notably, accuracy stability coefficients for all structures greater than 0.5, indicating stable reliable results. Conclusion These findings elucidate specific potential central interactions MIL or PSS at depression, providing valuable insights targeted prevention intervention strategies.

Objective Rumination and anxiety have been posited as correlates of smartphone dependence (SPD). However, little is known regarding how the components both affect SPD symptoms at subtle levels. Therefore, we used network analysis approach to identify connections a micro level provide possible interventions for reducing symptoms. Methods Using symptom-level analysis, ruminative response scale-10, generalized disorder scale-7, mobile phone addiction index scale-17 investigate Chinese preservice teachers ( M age = 21.1, N 1160). Subsequently, estimated graphical lasso correlation these teachers, which encompassed rumination components, Specifically, central bridge centralities within structure were examined impacts on Results The three intracluster rumination, anxiety, tighter than intercluster, with structural in networks closer triggered cluster. Importantly, reflection reactions towards “write down what you are thinking analyze it” (a component rumination) identified bridging node that might be target intervention Conclusion We potential edge-bridging locate highly each cluster via analysis.
