Spatial
color
algorithms
(SCAs)
are
grounded
in
the
retinex
theory
of
sensation
that,
mimicking
human
visual
system,
perform
image
enhancement
based
on
spatial
arrangement
scene.
Despite
their
established
role
enhancement,
potential
as
dequantizers
has
never
been
investigated.
Here,
we
aim
to
assess
effectiveness
SCAs
addressing
dual
objectives
dequantization
and
at
same
time.
To
this
end,
propose
term
dequantenhancement.

paper,
through
two
experiments
a
dataset
images,
evaluated
distinct
pathways:
first,
quantization
followed
by
filtering
both
enhancement;
