Bioethanol is an appropriate alternate energy option due to its renewable, nontoxic, environmentally friendly, and carbon-neutral nature. Depending upon various feedstocks, bioethanol classified in different generations. First-generation ethanol created a food vs fuel problem, which was overcome by second-generation, third-generation fourth-generation ethanol. The considerable availability of lignocellulosic biomass makes it suitable feedstock, however, recalcitrant nature the main hurdle converting bioethanol. present study gives comprehensive assessment global biofuel policies current status production. Feedstocks for first-generation (sugar starch-based), second-generation (lignocellulosic crops), (algal-based) (genetically modified algal or crops) are discussed detail. also assessed process production from besides giving holestic background knowledge on bioconversion process, factors affecting production, microorganisms involved fermentation process. Biotechnological tools play pivotal role enhancing efficiency product yield. In adddition, most significant development field genetic engineering adaptive evolution highlighted.

Uncontrolled waste generation and management difficulties are causing chaos in the ecosystem. Although it is vital to ease environmental pressures, right now there no such practical strategy available for treatment or utilisation of material. Because Earth's resources limited, a long-term, sustainable, sensible solution necessary. Currently material has drawn lot attention as renewable resource. Utilisation residual biomass leftovers appears green sustainable approach lessen burden on Earth while meeting demand bio-based goods. Several biopolymers from sources that have potential be used variety industries wide range applications. Natural synthetic significant advantages over petroleum-based polymers terms cost-effectiveness, friendliness, user-friendliness. Using raw through industrial symbiosis should taken into account one strategies achieve more economic value inter-firm collaboration path near-zero society. This review extensively explores different which can extracted several further applications food packaging enhance shelf life perishables. review-based study also provides key insights techniques been developed recently extract byproducts their feasibility business.

Continual global energy scarcity and its future challenges, as well environmental disasters, are causing devastation. Additionally, a substantial quantity of food is being wasted regularly. Therefore, the adoption circular bioeconomy principles bioconversion appears to be both highly advantageous urgently required. However, previous studies have placed limited emphasis on technological progress aspects associated with food. The present review thus investigates how mass-generated waste can used produce valuable bioproducts through techniques such oleaginous metabolism, anaerobic fermentation, solventogenesis. These attracted considerable interest due their eco-friendly resource-recycling capacities, efficiency sustainability. paper also discusses approaches integrate biorefineries within existing economies establish analyses challenges techno-economic, life cycle scenarios these approaches. Analysis techno-economic effects reveals that lucrative if certain pathways maintained. impact methods found substantially lower than conventional methods. Integrating processes further improves process sustainably recovers resources. Developing requires biorefinery strategy an integrated approach.
