A total of 332 freshwater crab Sartoriana spinigera samples were collected for eight consecutive months from the Ratargul swamp forest, Bangladesh, to examine their general morphometrics and reproductive traits. The length‐weight relationships carapace weight with length, width, depth indicated negative allometric growth. logarithmic relationship between exhibited a correlation value 0.86, 0.79, 0.56, respectively. Fulton’s condition factor found be highest in March lowest October. sex ratio was 1.59 : 1 male female, which did not show considerable divergence expected chi‐square test ( P < 0.05). In July, maximum mature individuals investigated. fertilization 1297 ± 629 ova, ovary 447.22 359.39 mg, egg diameter 375.15 130.18 µ m. Histological analysis showed that hepatopancreas well organized decomposition reported female during vitellogenic stages ovary. Spermatogonium cells gonad, gonad stage. conclusion, research will serve as foundation future work on species conservation maintenance ecological balance this forest.
