Drought is a global phenomenon that endangers agricultural production by creating water scarcity. Selecting drought-tolerant cultivars, varieties, and species essential for maintaining the food supply advancing breeding efforts. The study aimed to compare red beet ( Beta vulgaris L. var. cruenta ) sugar B. altissima Döll.) drought tolerance at early growth stage considering morpho-physiological stomatal parameters. Three cultivars (Bicores, BT Pancina, Yakut) three (Mohican, Orthega KWS, Valentina) were subjected various stress (Control, 10%, 20% PEG-6000) 30 days four-leaf stage. Fresh dry plant weight, leaf area, matter, chlorophyll content (SPAD), temperature, relative content, membrane stability index, density, size investigated. results revealed exhibited different responses stress, greater percentage reduction in morphological parameters was observed cultivars. markedly reduced fresh weights, stability, size. Enhanced matter density identified. increased from 158 215 mm −2 while decreased 433 342 µm 2 plants PEG. Moderate effectively distinguished genotypes. It concluded appeared be more than could used selecting
