Abstract Schizophrenia is a complex psychiatric disorder with unknown neuropathology. Notably, the triple-network-model of disorders, focusing on default mode (DMN), central executive (CEN), and salience (SN) networks, proposes an interesting framework for investigating abnormal neurocircuit activity in schizophrenia. In present study, we aim to explore three resting-state EEG biomarkers: i) relative power spectrum, ii) functional connectivity metrics - corrected imaginary phase locking (ciPLV) iii) effective estimated by source-localization-based directed transfer function (DTF) 28 chronic schizophrenia patients 27 controls. The presented results revealed that characterised by: prevalence high at theta band (4–8 Hz) localised centroparietal area, along smaller but widespread alterations frontotemporal regions; existence bilateral inter- intra-hemispheric neural communication patterns, most significant difference, manifested reversed pattern hemispheric engagement beta/gamma bands; observed multiband disturbances within DMN were as excessive, compared solely low-frequency CEN or SN negative ones; difference between group was direction information flows beta bands, strong indication specific key node – precuneus. conclusion, our study presents novel insights into neuropathology, particular emphasis fronto-parietal theta/beta bands. Abstract Biological risk signatures could aid the early detection of schizophrenia, but their precision likely depends on clinical definitions they are derived from. Using machine learning, we analyzed structural MRI data from 1,425 patients and 907 healthy individuals in a multi-site multi-diagnostic database to detect validate different syndromes―Cognitive Disturbances (COGDIS), Ultra-High-Risk (UHR) or COGDIS + UHR―compared schizophrenia.
