Catalytic combustion is an efficient and economic technology for eliminating volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in industrial environments. This study evaluated the synergistic catalytic properties of bimetallic oxides, viz., CoM/γ-Al2O3 (M = Cu, Fe, or Ni), improving efficiency toluene. The catalysts were prepared by impregnation method characterized using advanced techniques. Among catalysts, CoCu/γ-Al2O3 exhibited best performance. findings revealed that owing to strong interaction between Co, γ-Al2O3 support, active species catalyst effectively stabilized, they significantly enhanced redox performance acidity catalyst, demonstrating superior activity sulfur resistance. Conversely, CoFe/γ-Al2O3 performed poorly, exhibiting a significant decline its poisoning. insights from this provide theoretical support designing efficient, sulfur-resistant are crucial reducing VOC emissions.
