Abstract In this study, a facile and effective method is reported for the fabrication of polydopamine/polyacrylamide co‐deposited on magnetic reduced graphene oxide (PDOPA/PAAm@mag‐rGO) composite, which offers new host material dispersing palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs) catalytic reduction nitrophenols. PDOPA/PAAm was grafted onto mag‐rGO through one‐step dopamine‐triggered polymerization in short time (45 min) at room temperature. PDOPA/PAAm@mag‐rGO not only used as support but also supplied compatibility stabilizing Pd N Ps deposition, enhanced properties. The efficiency Pd‐PDOPA/PAAm@mag‐rGO carried out with 2‐nitrophenol, 4‐nitrophenol, 2,4‐dinitrophenol by using NaBH4 reducing agent rate aforementioned nitrophenols follows: 4‐nitrophenol>2‐nitrophenol>2,4‐dinitrophenol. Moreover, catalyst showed high stability over five sequential uses reaction. Magnetic analysis reveals that as‐prepared had superparamagnetic properties, allow easy recovery from reaction medium via an external magnet. This study indicates polymer brushes noble metal combined can play efficient composite multifunctional multi‐component graphene‐based materials diverse applications.
