Unfavorable environmental conditions pose a major barrier to sustainable agriculture. Among the various innovative strategies developed protect plants from abiotic stress, use of phytohormones and nanoparticles as “stress mitigators” has emerged one most important promising approaches. The objective this study was observe protective role melatonin (Mel) silicon oxide (SiO-NPs) in rice ( Oryza sativa L.) seedlings under cadmium (Cd) stress. Rice have reduced growth phytochemical attributes when grown Cd-contaminated (0.8 mM) pots. Seedlings Cd stress had 38% less shoot length (SL), 53% total soluble sugar (TSS) 57% protein content. However, superoxide dismutase (SOD), hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O ) malondialdehyde (MDA) increased by 51%, 37% 34%, respectively, Beside this, activities such peroxidase (POX) also elevated subjected with Cd-stress. In contrast, Mel (100 µm) foliar spray SiO-NPs mg/L) root dipping oxidative reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation. Furthermore, application and/or significantly activity antioxidative enzymes that scavenge ROS. combined growth, gas exchange photosynthetic attributes, chlorophyll value, It causes alleviation SOD, CAT POX 73%, 62% 65%, respectively. Overall, findings show can potentially crop against damage
