Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers and a worldwide health concern that requires novel treatment approaches. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) immune checkpoint blockades (ICBs) are current standard care; however, their clinical benefits limited in some advanced metastatic patients. With help gene engineering techniques, adoptive cellular therapy (ACT) called chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cells was recently introduced for treating HCC. A plethora preclinical studies attempting to improve efficacy CAR-T by dominating immunosuppressive environment HCC finding best tumor-specific antigens (TSAs). The future care patients might be drastically improved due convergence therapeutic methods continuous progress ACT research. However, application solid tumors still facing several challenges. In this study, we provide an overview advancement prospects cell immunotherapy HCC, as well investigation how cutting-edge could safety profile.
