Assessing the impacts of climate change on distribution medicinally important and endangered species is critical for conservation planning. This study focuses Dolomiaea costus (Falc.) Kasana & A.K. Pandey, a critically highly valuable medicinal plant found in fragile Pakistan. Using modelling (MaxEnt), we evaluated current future habitat suitability D. under two scenarios (SSP370 SSP585) periods 2041–2070 2071–2100. Occurrence data were collected from field surveys Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), while bioclimatic sourced Climatologies at High Resolution Earth's Land Surface Areas (CHELSA). The MaxEnt model achieved high mean AUC value 0.967, indicating strong predictive accuracy. Suitable habitats span approximately 99,871 Km2 across western Himalayas, Karakoram, Hindukush regions. Climate projections revealed that SSP370, suitable areas decrease 99,260 to 90,962.5 2071–2100, with high-suitability zones reducing 13,024.5 11,490.5 Km2. In contrast, SSP585 scenario showed modest expansion 107,104 111,217.5 Km2, though declined 18,208 16,811 Precipitation-related variables, especially precipitation seasonality, most influential drivers suitability, contributing 64.3% model, followed by monthly driest quarter (18.8%) wettest months. Jackknife tests also confirmed their importance. These findings underscored sensitivity intensity change, particularly severe warming conditions highlighted urgent need comprehensive plan. A combination strategies, including climate-smart conservation, protection, reintroduction, cultivation moderately habitats, crucial ensure long-term survival Pakistan amidst changing climate.

Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence indigenous herbal medicine use and its associated factors among pregnant women attending antenatal care (ANC) at public health facilities in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia. Design A facility-based cross-sectional design. Setting conducted seven (one referral hospital, three urban rural centres) Ethiopia, from October November 2022. Participants 628 any gestational age who had been on ANC follow-up selected were included. Main outcome measures Prevalence (users vs non-users) factors. Results revealed that 47.8% (95% CI 43.8% 51.6%) used medicines. Lack formal education (adjusted OR, AOR 5.47, 95% 2.40 12.46), primary level (AOR 4.74, 2.15 10.44), housewives 4.15, 1.83 9.37), number visits 2.58, 1.27 5.25), insufficient knowledge 4.58, 3.02 6.77) favourable perception 2.54, 1.71 3.77) significantly with use. most commonly herbs garden cress ( Lepidium sativum ) (32%), bitter leaf Vernonia amygdalina (25.2%), moringa Moringa oleifera (24. 5 %). Common indications related gastrointestinal problems, blood pressure sugar. Conclusion is high two women) level, occupation, visits, perceptions. study’s findings are helpful advancing comprehension medicines using status, types enforcing It essential provide counselling during regulatory bodies ought raise awareness implement interventions lower risks over-the-counter by women.

This study examines the role of government and local administration in preserving traditional ethnobotanical knowledge promoting biodiversity conservation Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. Through policies like Ghar Aushadhi Yojana, 2021, which distributes medicinal plant saplings (e.g., Tulsi, Ashwagandha, Kalmegh, Giloy) to households, establishment protected areas such as Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary, authorities aim integrate practices into modern healthcare sustainability efforts. The district facilitates community engagement, documentation tribal knowledge, equitable resource distribution. Findings reveal enhanced health outcomes for communities, economic opportunities healers farmers, increased green cover. However, challenges limited awareness, illegal harvesting, funding gaps persist. A case Yojana Kapasan block demonstrates its success, with 70% households using plants primary care. paper underscores need stricter measures, education campaigns, financial support ensure long-term sustainability, positioning Chittorgarh a model balancing cultural heritage ecological resilience India
