The COP27 conference establishes fresh objectives for global economies to achieve the goals outlined in Paris Agreement, which are centered on reducing carbon (CO2) emissions and constraining rise temperatures 1.5 °C. In this background, study looks at how education has affected CO2 emissions, economy, use of renewable energy, green investments, foreign direct investment E-7 countries from 2000 2021. Two unit root tests, CADF CIPS, were used gauge data’s stationarity. long-run coefficients identified using momentum quantile regression approach. empirical results show a cointegration variables. Additionally, should place high priority boosting energy investing expansion higher sustainable development. To mitigate dioxide (CO2em), it recommended governments nations take measures promote adoption investments. Governments must prioritize their efforts ensure financing policies able complement environmental welfare growth policies.

Based on the quasi-natural experiment of “the pilot policy combining science and technology with finance” (Sci-Tech Finance policy) carried out in China recent years, this paper constructs a multi-stage difference-in-differences model to explore its impact corporate ESG performance influence mechanisms. The main research findings are as follows: (1) Sci-Tech significantly enhances performance, finding that remains consistent after conducting parallel trends testing, propensity score matching, placebo tests. (2) promotes through three intermediary channels, namely alleviating financial constraints, improving total factor productivity, enhancing green innovation. Notably, first two channels exhibit most prominent effects. (3) exhibits heterogeneity at both regional levels; it demonstrates more pronounced corporates located Eastern Region, within high digital economic zones, among high-tech, capital-intensive, heavily polluting, state-owned corporates. (4) has apparent spatial spillover effects accounting for about 8% direct effect areas. This study enriches literature impacts behaviors, providing insights government regulatory authorities leverage policies promote sustainable development.

Enhancing carbon emission efficiency is crucial for achieving reduction and economic growth. This paper focuses on the digital–financial dual pilot policy formed by Broadband China strategy (BCP) Promoting Science Technology to Combine with Finance (TFCP) policy. Using panel data of 284 prefecture-level cities in from 2007 2022 nighttime light data, this adopts super-efficiency SBM model calculate urban efficiency. Based efficiency, employs staggered difference-in-differences discuss impact The research results indicate that significantly improves compared single policy, has a greater effect improving conclusion still holds after parallel trend test, heterogeneous treatment effects other robustness tests. Mechanism analysis demonstrates enhances labor, capital, credit resource allocation green technological innovation generating collaborative effects, thereby Further reveals implementing TFCP first, followed BCP can more effectively maximize policy’s positive exhibits heterogeneity, depending endowment, digital infrastructure level, administrative hierarchy, financial development intellectual property protection intensity cities. provides valuable insights win–win outcome development.

Green industrial growth is at the core of green and low-carbon transformation real economy. Financial services provide new channels for innovation financing enterprises. How to utilize financial development enhance technology efficiency (GTIE) focus this paper. Using data from 288 cities in China, paper employs Super-SBM model Network DEA measure GTIE then investigates complex relationship between GTIE. The results show that, overall, can promote And alleviating enterprise constraints increasing investment openness are effective pathways influence. In addition, we discuss heterogeneous effects on across different types cities, manifested as a dual effect “supporting” “predation”. regions with stronger power such coastal eastern “predation effect” stronger, while “support inland central/western cities. Furthermore, expansion city size weakens impact This points out that plays crucial role enhancing GTIE, but excessive may crowd positive When promoting development, it should be matched region avoid crowding by
