Vegetation is an important component of ecosystem, fulfilling various ecological functions in areas such as soil and water conservation, climate regulation, source maintenance. This study focuses on the Yongding River Basin a research area. used vegetation indices with long time series data combination Landsat land use data. applied linear trend estimation to analyze interannual variation greenness from 2002 2022 quantitatively analyzed impact changes greenness. The results show that, 2022, has shown overall increasing trend. average growth season maximum annual normalized difference index (NDVI) rates were 0.006/10a 0.008/10a, respectively, area increased accounted for 90% total During main (April October) Basin, NDVI generally showed spatial pattern being higher mountainous lower areas, largest coefficient river most stable forest land. In terms greenness, contribution rate arable was between 36.73% 38.63%, followed by grassland land, 26.86% 27.11% 23.94% 26.43%, respectively. construction unused around 10.18%. can provide theoretical basis environmental protection rational Basin.
