Mineralization of groundwater for drinking purposes is a complex parameter chemical composition. In the Shaim oil- and gas-bearing area, as in whole West Siberian megabasin, main target horizon solving issues domestic technical water supply Oligocene aquifer. It has significant reserves to cover needs population production requirements. However, it also faces huge anthropogenic load form withdrawal possible contamination from surface with oil products. Western Siberia, various deviations composition are recorded connection withdrawal; example, sharp increase chromaticity or total iron concentration, changes mineralization acting factor necessarily accompanying these deviations. Based on data obtained course monitoring period 2013 2023, factors trends components were determined. The lithological mineralogical peculiarities water-bearing rocks horizon, paleogeographic conditions its formation their relation change studied. Water processed two cluster sites (50 5 wells, respectively). Analysis results showed that leads an infiltration overlying Neogene-Quaternary aquifer, which dilution decrease mineralization. Here, we show that, during further monitoring, necessary pay attention appearance where amounts chloride ions fixed anion composition, can potentially lead deterioration quality groundwater.

Imprudent extraction of groundwater tends to undue stress and portends its sustainability. Spatiotemporal analysis storage anomaly (GWSA) is imperative for the judicious use, management, sustainable development a region. This study aimed examine changes in over past 20 years Tana sub-basin using Gravity Recovery Climate Experiment (GRACE) assimilated into Global Land Data Assimilation Systems (GLDAS). Validation was carried out evaluate accuracy GWSA against anomalies Lake water level, precipitation, in-situ level. Modified Mann-Kendal test Sen's slope estimator were applied trend GWSA. The results exhibited that strongly correlated (Pearson's correlation coefficient, R ranges from 0.75 0.96) with three validation above variables, which elucidated general, credible estimation. net annual curve showed non-significant (p > 0.05) decreasing 2003 2012. However, including 2005, 2006, 2009 drought periods, caused 0.49 billion cubic meters (BCM) loss. In entire period (2003–2022), on other hand, revealed significant increasing < rate 0.333 cm/year. Generally, nurtured 4.87 BCM gain period. most sensitive parts area large fluctuations mainly nearby southern eastern directions Tana.
