Drought is an extremely negative phenomenon that becoming increasingly frequent in the southern part of Romania (Oltenia Plain). An insufficiency or lack precipitation, especially warm season, induces a state stress on vegetation, damaging it prematurely and decreasing agricultural yield. Integrating satellite observations into research inventories has practical applications for drought dynamics plain regions may significantly contribute to its sustainability. The aim our study was highlight relationship between vegetation health central parts Oltenia Plain, namely, Băilești Plain Nedeia Plain. We used four different indices (SPI/SPI-CDF-ISND, SPEI, NDVI, NDMI) order assess occurrence meteorological gained wider picture regarding past future trends. results this better understanding index trends their implications climate change. selected were most suitable assessing according literature, combining all them helped us obtain full drought’s impact vegetation.
