Ophiocordyceps, a genus of invertebrate-pathogenic fungi in the family Ophiocordycipitaceae (order Hypocreales), is globally distributed. Over 300 species have been described and accepted as members genus. This study introduces three new Ophiocordyceps from China: O.liaoningensis, O.muscidarum, O.neocommunis. Remarkably, hosted on flies (Muscidae, Diptera), characterized by its larger perithecia longer secondary ascospores. Ophiocordycepsneocommunis also introduced based morphological distinctions closely related species. Ophiocordycepsliaoningensis produces dark brown superficial with an asexual morph at apex does not break into part-spores. Phylogenetic analyses using six loci (LSU, ITS, SSU, tef-1α, rpb1, rpb2) robustly support placement these within Ophiocordyceps. Additionally, we report host record for Hirsutellavermicola. Detailed descriptions, illustrations, color photo plates, phylogenetic tree are provided.

Abstract Understanding the trajectory of microbial biotechnology research is essential for identifying novel processes, techniques, and applications to enhance efficiency sustainability bioeconomic activities. This paper provides a comprehensive overview global on in forestry-related industries elucidate key themes trends within this domain. Through topic modeling publications wood wood-based products, we identified 14 distinct topics from dataset 805 abstracts containing 152,265 terms. A continuing surge was found, particularly enzymes employed primarily pulp production. There also rising publication trend related microbe bioenergy agarwood, reflecting an increasing interest diversifying forest-based bioeconomy. Most scientific originated major producers traders products. To advance objectives, it critical foster increased collaborative microbe-based technologies forestry industry.
