Abstract Various functional modifications of anodic TiO 2 nanotubes (ATNTs) have been widely studied, but the control porosity ATNTs is key to depositing nanofunctional materials into tubes. It difficult obtain with a high in short anodizing process. The morphologies obtained by one‐step anodization and two‐step were compared this work. In process at 50 V for 30 min, surface covering layer on could reduce nanotube arrays (only 4.58%). However, titanium substrate, concaves left after first step electrolyte containing polyethylene glycol (PEG600), was once again anodized only 10 formed increased 21.50%.
