Ecological restoration requires a holistic view of the interconnectedness between degraded areas, remaining ecosystems, and repercussions land use other socioeconomic costs. In this study, we analyze how biological priorities for change when ecological, social, economic feasibility are considered. A multi‐criteria approach was used to prioritize using Mexican side transboundary Grijalva‐Usumacinta basin (78,831 km 2 ) as study model, one Mexico's most important regions, thanks its hydrology, biology, social conditions. Fourteen indicators value were identified. The results showed that considering only factors ( B scenario), 9.35% area had high or very priority within near natural protected areas (NPAs). When including + F with values increased 34.3%. This means many feasible medium low restoration, consequently, in cases, there is tradeoff possible recovery versus viability derived mainly from factors. Without discerning where can offer pronounced ecological benefits, efforts risk being misdirected squandered. provides suitability assessment useful decision‐makers stakeholders because it generates more complete picture opportunities threats make final selection intervention.

Abstract Nigeria is one of the most floristic rich countries on continent Africa due to variation in climate, which favors growth several species. Globally, managing wildland fire is increasing in complexity. Satellite Earth Observation (EO) data, specifically active 'hotspot' often used to inform management. This study explores hotspot data usage via web traffic ('user counts') for the FIRMS, GWIS and EFFIS portals between September 2019 April 2023. Global use characterized by multi-month periods of relatively low, stable user counts, interspersed with periodic spikes (4.1x median monthly activity) activity broadly aligned North American / European season (late summer-fall). Users from Americas (45%) Europe (36%) dominate traffic. We also examined correlative relationships page counts environmental social variables at multiple spatial scales. strongest were found total number fires, burned area, disaster events; country population levels internet proliferation. Notably, a level, (and weakest) weekly diverse range countries suggesting that variety situations exist further investigation needed better understand EO usage.
