Abstract Metal plate core‐based sandwich composites have the potential to revolutionize various industrial fields due their mechanical strength and vibration damping. In this study, AZ91 (a magnesium alloy) Al1050 (an aluminum metal of AZ91/carbon fiber‐epoxy, AZ91/glass Al1050/carbon Al1050/glass fiber‐epoxy were manufactured. These composites' dynamic properties determined through tensile, three‐point bending, tests. AZ91‐reinforced carbon fiber exhibited a 28.8% higher tensile than glass composites, while Al1050‐reinforced showed 17.2% performance composites. Moreover, reinforcement led with average flexural for both fibers. tests conducted under clamped free‐free boundary conditions, highest first natural frequency was observed in samples, sparking further interest. Conversely, damping ratio specimens. addition, corrosion behavior sandwiches evaluated, it found that provided better resistance fiber. Highlights Sandwich comprising AZ91/Al1050 cores carbon/glass reinforced epoxy face sheets Galvanic effects provide resistance. Vibration revealed had frequency. ratio.
