Background:
Cannabis
sativa
(CS)
has
been
traditionally
used
for
its
medicinal
properties,
including
antioxidant,
antibacterial,
and
neuroprotective
effects.
However,
potential
anticataleptic
activity
remains
unexplored.
Aim:
This
study
aimed
to
investigate
the
qualitative
phytochemical
analysis,
of
methanolic
seed
extract
(CSCME).
Methods:
The
antioxidant
CSCME
was
evaluated
using
DPPH
radical
scavenging
assay.
Antibacterial
properties
were
assessed
agar
well
diffusion
method.
For
study,
Wistar
albino
rats
(n=30)
divided
into
five
groups:
control,
disease
control
(haloperidol
1mg/kg),
standard
treatment
1mg/kg
+
trihexyphenidyl
two
groups
receiving
haloperidol
with
(10mg/kg
20mg/kg).
Treatments
administered
daily
15
days,
catalepsy
severity
block
metal
bar
methods.
Results:
exhibited
significant
antibacterial
comparable
commercial
drugs.
In
vivo,
results
showed
a
reduction
in
cataleptic
scores
(P<0.05)
compared
control.
Notably,
20mg/kg
group
demonstrated
similar
reductions
as
(P>0.05).
Conclusion:
demonstrates
that
possesses
activities,
suggesting
therapeutic
agent
managing
other
neurological
disorders.
findings
warrant
further
investigation
clinical
applications
CSCME.
