The increased demand for consuming seafood has made production undergo a rapid period of growth. However, high risk contamination from harmful microorganisms and marine toxins which can cause health problems humans it. Concerning this issue, monitoring safety become center attention researchers, developing effective methods detecting in critical research field. In context, biosensors have served as promising approach to monitor contamination. Compared conventional methods, some key benefits such sensitivity, selectivity, portability, user-friendly operation. Along with significant advances biosensors, processes be simplified performed outside the laboratory. review article, we describe mechanisms two main types regarding electrochemical optical biosensors. current reports within last five years on application these are also summarized.
