The increased environmental awareness and tighter regulatory standards have prompted various industries to seek appropriate wastewater treatment technologies, in particular, for colored wastewater. This review provides detailed information on dyes, their classification, the impact of water pollution national (Morocco) international scales. Recent studies about adsorption process removal dyes from aqueous solution with different adsorbents recognized as a sustainable terms minimization, recovery, reuse were evaluated. It is also aimed synthesize current literature data concerning low-cost by systematically highlighting both characteristics capacities. Moreover, applicability kinetic isothermal models wide range reported addition regarding continuous system adsorption.

Abstract Fava bean peels, Vicia faba (FBP) are investigated as biosorbents for the removal of Methylene Blue (MB) dye from aqueous solutions through a novel and efficient sorption process utilizing ultrasonic-assisted (US) shaking. Ultrasonication remarkably enhanced rate relative to conventional (CV) shaking, while maintaining same capacity. Ultrasonic amounted four times higher than its counterpart at 3.6 mg/L initial concentration, 5 g/L adsorbent dose, pH 5.8. Under dose conditions, percent ranged between 70–80% low concentration range (3.6–25 mg/L) reached about 90% 50 concentration. According Langmuir model, maximum capacity was estimated be 140 mg/g. A multiple linear regression statistical model revealed that adsorption significantly affected by time. FBP could successfully utilized low-cost biosorbent MB wastewater via US biosorption an alternative CV sorption. yields capacities biosorption, but with significant reduction in operational times.
