Thousands of chemicals have been released into the environment in recent decades. The presence emerging contaminants (ECs) water has emerged as a pressing concern. Adsorption is viable solution for removal ECs. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) shown great potential efficient adsorbents, but their dispersed powder form limits practical applications. Recently, researchers developed various separable MOF-based adsorbents to improve recyclability. purpose this review summarize latest developments construction and applications adsorbing strategies MOFs are classified four categories: magnetic MOFs, MOF-fiber composites, MOF gels, binder-assisted shaping. Typical include pesticides, pharmaceuticals personal care products, endocrine-disrupting compounds. adsorption performance different materials evaluated based on results static dynamic experiments. Additionally, regeneration methods discussed detail facilitate effective recycling reuse. Finally, challenges future research opportunities proposed, including reducing losses during shaping process, developing assessment systems purification real polluted water, optimizing methods, designing multifunctional low-cost, large-scale synthesis MOFs.

Abstract In recent years, taking medicine has been increasing around the world due to population growth and spread of disease. Antibiotics as a kind these medicines include about 10 15% drug consumption. Studies show that antibiotics, which are not completely removed, have permanent destructive effect on environment. this study, chitosan@polyacrylamide@ZIF-8 an adsorbent was simultaneously used remove cefixime amoxicillin from aqueous solution by adsorption methods. XRD FTIR patterns were analyzed investigate surface crystallinity chemical properties adsorbent. following, SEM TEM images for morphology study. Finally, numerical investigation done predicting effective parameters. The results pH 4, contact time 30 min, initial concentration 50 mg/L, temperature 25 °C 15 mg in mL polluted water optimal conditions at removal percentage up 90% achieved. Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherms examined experimental data Langmuir model presented best consistency with maximum calculated capacity 910 mg/g 588 mg/g, respectively. This study was conducted to synthesize and characterize a new polymer/metal–organic framework (MOF) stabilizer via the reaction between sulfonamide-triazine-based porous organic polymer (poly(sulfonamide-triazine)) (PSTA) an amino-functionalized zinc metal–organic (IRMOF-3). Next, prepared nanocomposites (IRMOF-3/PSTA/Cu) were modified using copper iodide nanoparticles (CuI NPs). The composites characterized by FT-IR, XRD, EDX, N2 adsorption–desorption, TGA, SEM, TEM, XPS analysis. Finally, application of investigated through one-pot synthesis 2,3-disubstituted benzo[b]furans. To this end, alkyne, salicylaldehydes, amines subjected three-component domino reaction. All products obtained in high turnover frequency (TOF) up 142.42, suggesting catalyst's selectivity activity mentioned reactions. synthesized nanocatalyst is reusable seven times with no considerable catalytic efficiency loss. Overall, yields products, nanocatalyst's facile recovery, short time, wide substrate scopes make procedure eco-friendly, practical, economically justified.

Wastewater contaminated with antibiotics requires innovative solutions to remove such pollutants efficiently. In this work, Zn-Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) adsorbent supported on polyurethane (PU) (Zn-Al LDH/PU) was synthesized using a simple co-precipitation method. The material characterized XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, TGA, zeta potential, and hydrodynamic size. This investigated for the removal of cefixime (CFX), which is model third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. LDH phase showed typical hexagonal morphology layer sizes larger than 200 nm in diameter. CFX adsorption PU, LDH/PU maximum capacity 94.43, 57.17 mg/g 115.69 mg/g, respectively. Redlich-Peterson Baudu isotherm models were found be best fit Zn-Al/PU, equilibrium time 175 min 250 kinetics fitted pseudo-second order indicating chemisorption diffusion limited process.
