Abstract Calcined clays have become one of the most researched themes in field cement replacement recent years. However, it is not only pure kaolinite that can be used for thermal activation. There are other options such as use lower-grade clays. The brick soils considered a representative these studied soil had lower content clay minerals (40%) and higher impurities, mainly quartz (18%) calcite (43%). It also contained minor amount gypsum (4%). After calcination at 650 °C, 37% amorphous matter was formed, which assumed to reactive part. Based on this assumption, mixture compositions, more precisely substitutions concrete were made using so-called rational design. replace cement, while crystalline phases substituted fine aggregate. Within logic, 5 mixtures with level up 25% designed. calcined somewhat finer, plasticizing admixture achieve comparable workability without an immense increase water dosage. best compressive strength obtained case 10% replacement. Specifically, reached 69 MPa, by 14% value than reference. Nevertheless, showed applicable results. Its 55 11% compared reference mixture.

Objective: The objective of this study is to present a scientific bibliographic review article on the use light ash interlocked concrete floors and identify possible gaps related reuse ash, which by-product from thermoelectric plants, in terms technical feasibility for production material exploitation sustainable potential reuse. Theoretical reference: It based concepts environmental sustainability, industrial waste, improvements properties through addition fly byproduct burning coal plants. uses authors studies that address reduction impacts civil construction materials paving. Method: Searches were carried out databases, using advanced search mechanism ScienceDirect platform, published by Elsevier (www.sciencedirect.com). keywords used research first filter "fly ash" "paver block", summary articles analyzed, selected prioritized publications last five years (2019-2024), order include recent advances technological developments. In second filter, new already collected was out, software management reviews citations Zotero (https://www.zotero.org/), keyword full text articles. Results Discussion: results discussions incorporation into concrete, highlighting technical, economic aspects. Main points covered, Properties resulting impacts, practical applications challenges limitations. Research Implications: theoretical implications are discussed, providing insights how can be applied or influence practices field CO2 emissions, as well social implications. These may an alignment with policies waste management. Originality/Value: This contributes literature innovative specific theme, combination infrastructure sustainability. relevance value evidenced its contribution sustainability strategic relevance.
