Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) has caused massive economic losses to the global pig farming industry. As emerging nanomaterials, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have considerable potential in drug and vaccine delivery because of their unique physicochemical properties. Based on successful expression identification PCV2 antigens (Cap protein), this study exploits MOF platforms design a nanovaccine system (Cap@ZIF-8-CpG) as novel subunit vaccine, which effectively enhances resistance denaturation boosts immune responses against PCV2. Results demonstrate that mice injected with efficiently incorporating (Cap) an enhancer (CpG) elicit robust humoral responses. Notably, immunoglobulin G antibody titers are considerably elevated; cytokine secretion is augmented; proliferation CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes CD4+ cells stimulated. Following viral challenge, Cap@ZIF-8-CpG successfully protects health mice, making them resistant infection. This provides new promising direction for development effective long-lasting vaccines other major swine pathogens.
