To investigate accommodative and binocular characteristics in myopic patients with age-related accommodation deficiency, to the relationship of amplitude (AA) other parameters. Myopic between 40 50 years old undergo refractive surgery were enrolled. Accommodative function, including AA, positive negative relative (PRA NRA), response (binocular cross cylinder, BCC), facility (BAF) examined. Binocular vision measurements simultaneous perception, fusional vergence, stereovision assessed a synoptophore. Near point convergence (NPC) gradient convergence/accommodation (AC/A) ratio also measured. A questionnaire was used assess subjective visual discomfort experienced after prolonged near work. total 145 subjects evaluated, mean age 42.59 ± 2.89 (SD) years. In full data set, 96(66.21%) had PRA (>-1.50 D), 21(14.48%) NRA (< 1.50 113(77.93%) BCC 0.25 D). Out 97 patients, 17(17.53%) AC/A 2), 54(55.67%) NPC (> 7.5 cm), 51(52.58%) BAF 5 cpm). As for 59(60.82%) values greater than 0 prism dioptres. Adjusting associated factors, participants lower AA more likely be older (odds [OR], 2.080; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.523–2.841) milder myopia (OR, 1.280; CI, 1.029–1.594). Lower 4.990; 1.731–14.386) found individuals AA. The three most commonly reported discomforts eye strain or soreness, ocular pain headache, blurred text. For myopes at early stage presbyopia, continuous tension vergence system worthy our attention, addition well-known insufficiency. Comprehensive assessment status appropriate management is recommended before corneal surgery.

Therefore, specific guidelines have been published by the World Health Organization, whose aim is limit daily screen time (ST) viewing. However, during COVID-19 pandemic, a rise in DM use, consequently ST viewing, was observed. More more aspects of modern life thought be affected excessive Accordingly, this review document health effects viewing on adolescents. A narrative performed searchable databases. In total, 43 original articles were considered. Excessive correlated with increased risk for obesity other cardiometabolic factors, mental health, unhealthy dietary habits eating disorders, problems development child–parent relationships. Sleep, physical activity, eyesight, headaches, musculoskeletal system negatively as well. effect weighted type used way types used. Other confounding factors reported. There evidence suggest negative correlation between youth exists. Nevertheless, research needed if established.

Purpose This research aims to build on the pre-existing corpus of literature through integration technology acceptance model (TAM) and usage habit more accurately capture determinants associated with social media addiction among university students. study seeks delineate how TAM may be used as predictors for potential, well provide greater insight into current trends in across this population demographic. Design/methodology/approach A cross-sectional design was employed investigate students Malaysia at onset their tertiary education. self-administered survey, adapted from prior studies, administered a sample 217 respondents. The hypotheses were subsequently tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. Background Computer vision syndrome (CVS) is a common occupational health problem, but its clinical definition, prevalence and risk factors are not well defined. In general, non-validated diagnostic instruments have been used to assess prevalence. For this reason, the aim of study estimate potential for CVS using validated questionnaire. Methods A cross-sectional ( n = 238) was carried out in Italian office workers digital devices. All participants responded an anamnesis, exposure questionnaire, version Vision Syndrome Questionnaire. battery 3 ocular surface tear ophthalmic tests (break-up time, BUT), Schirmer II corneal staining) performed.
