Many autistic youth have complex healthcare needs, resulting in high rates of health service utilization. However, many characteristics this utilization remain unknown. Using whole-of-population data, study aimed to quantify and compare psychiatric non-psychiatric among non-autistic youth, with without co-occurring intellectual disability. A national retrospective cohort was employed using linked individual-level administrative data for Aotearoa New Zealand (aged 0–24 years). Health outcomes included 11 domains. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental characterized by social communication difficulties and restricted repetitive behaviors or interests. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) has been shown to significantly improve outcomes for individuals on the autism spectrum. However, challenges regarding access, cost, provider shortages remain obstacles treatment delivery. To this end, parents were trained as parent technicians (pBTs), improving access ABA, empowering provide ABA in their own homes.
