Hydropower energy in the US is transition to modernize with renewables integration achieve clean goal of 2035. Priest Rapids Dam, Columbia River Basin, subjected coalescence challenges, viz. climate change impacts, complex water management, and wide array stakeholders. This chapter analyzed these challenges using a water-energy nexus framework aimed at long-term sustainability interdependence systems Rapids. Projected changes hydropower production indicate increase annual generation facilitated by ubiquitous winter low flows. Integration pumped hydro facility relying on high head would assist achieving faster. Later, stakeholders from proposed development project were identified. Clear consistent communication various stakeholder groups be crucial for efficient just evolution Dam.
