This study presents data on the concentration of Alternaria spores in atmosphere northwestern Iberian Peninsula. A non-viable volumetric method was used to collect samples, resulting a database 70 annual. When annual averages for each locality are calculated, Ourense stands out with 2152 spores/m3, followed by Vigo and Lugo, while Santiago de Compostela recorded lowest concentrations. Focusing total locality, main sporulation period started May ended October all localities, centered single phase, an earlier onset longer duration Vigo. The number days concentrations excess 100 spores/m3 very low Compostela, Ourense, null Lugo. Temperature meteorological parameter which highest statistical correlation obtained locations, being favorable air. ranges presence airborne area ranged from 25.5 31.2 °C. Based analysis collected, it is concluded that spore throughout most year.

Allergens from pollen, mites, and moulds often sensitise patients simultaneously, posing challenges for developing stable effective combination vaccines. Alternaria alternata, a major source of indoor outdoor allergens, is strongly linked to asthma development contains proteolytic enzymes that can degrade other potentially reducing vaccine efficacy. This study aimed evaluate the safety, efficacy, stability polymerised A. alternata extracts (allergoids) compared native their compatibility with pollen (Phleum pratense). Allergoids were prepared using glutaraldehyde characterised through SDS-PAGE, LC-MS/MS, NMR, gas chromatography. Their immunogenicity IgE-binding properties assessed via Western blot ELISA competition assays, while enzymatic activity was analysed ApiZym kits. Mice immunisation experiments conducted antibody responses. Polymerised exhibited reduced capacity maintaining IgG-binding immunogenicity. immunised allergoids generated antibodies efficiently blocked IgE binding in allergic patients. Proteolytic significantly allergoids, remained when combined them. These findings demonstrate are safer, more alternative immunotherapy, offering enhanced efficacy injections polysensitised provides critical insights designing optimised
