In the upcoming period, city squares’ urban redesign will be crucial in achieving sustainable development goals. This study presents a systematic review of OTC-related studies for design squares using PRISMA 2020 methodology. A included total 173 papers from 2001 to 2023. The results identified five types—clusters based on four pre-defined criteria: approach, data collection methods, time duration, and primary objectives. clusters indicate that more than half all are related comparison thermal comfort heat mitigation measures. Most case were located one three climate zones: temperate oceanic (Cfb) (58 studies), hot summer Mediterranean (Csa) (40 or humid subtropical (Cfa) (28 studies). most common geometry analyzed square is medium-sized, rectangular, has dominant axel orientation south–north. Also, clusters, several research gaps identified, appropriate future research: majority traditionally considered areas, no typology configuration OTC assessment, lack local model assessing improving squares.

Urban areas face significant environmental challenges, notably rainwater management and the urban heat island effect. As sustainable ecological infrastructures, Green roofs provide dual benefits in addressing these issues. The literature review thoroughly explores how effective green are at boosting resilience by mitigating Heat Island effects enhancing stormwater control. Findings across various studies indicate that could significantly reduce surface ambient temperatures, with some reporting temperature reductions of up to 30 °C. Additionally, contribute retaining lseast 51% annual rainfall, thereby reducing runoff volume peak flow rates. By synthesizing data from 28 case worldwide, this highlights substantial offer settings. Our analysis suggests broader implementation further research into roof technologies essential for development. This paper calls increased integration planning leverage their benefits, particularly climate change impacts systems.

Water stress on crops can severely disrupt crop growth and reduce yields, requiring the accurate prompt diagnosis of water stress, especially in semiarid regions. Infrared thermal imaging cameras are effective tools to monitor spatial distribution canopy temperature (Tc), which is basis daily index (DWSI) calculation. This research aimed evaluate variability plant under different soil cover conditions through geostatistical techniques, using detailed thermographic images Neem canopies Brazilian northeastern region. Two experimental plots were established with cropped mulch bare conditions. Thermal leaves taken a portable camera processed Python language OpenCV database. The application technique enabled indicator mapping at leaf scale, spherical exponential models providing best fit for both results showed that highest levels observed during months air temperatures no rainfall, apex close central veins, due negative balance. Even extreme drought conditions, mulching reduced physiological leading lower associated higher moisture content skewness distribution.
