Objective Prevalence rates of attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) vary by several demographic factors, including sex, socioeconomic status, geographic region, and race/ethnicity, with higher seen among non‐Hispanic White children adults compared to racially/ethnically minoritized individuals. This study investigated if similar race‐based differences exist in neurocognitive test performance psychiatric/ADHD symptom reporting groups a demographically diverse sample. Methods Data from 491 confirmed diagnosis ADHD were analyzed assess for broad domains (i.e., learning memory, attention/working processing speed, executive functions), as well on measures mood ADHD‐related symptomatology. Results Findings largely demonstrated comparable psychiatric endorsement across racial known ADHD. Conclusions Although prior research has consistently documented racial/ethnic disparities diagnosis, current results did not demonstrate neuropsychological performance‐based patients diagnosed Relevance clinical practice is one the most prevalent neurodevelopmental disorders U.S. constitutes large number referrals diagnostic evaluation. Despite groups, outcomes remain consistent these groups.

Cognitive dysfunction (CD) is a neurologic complication of pediatric systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) that remains poorly understood and understudied, despite the potential negative effects CD on long-term socioeconomic status quality life. Data regarding prevalence risk factors for in SLE as well optimal screening, treatment, outcomes are lacking. In this review, we present current knowledge with focus application to clinical practice. We discuss challenges diagnosis, screening methods, impacts, interventions complication. Finally, remaining gaps our SLE, avenues future research efforts.

Background/Objectives: Acquired brain injury (ABI) is a major cause of global disability. Many ABI patients exhibit oculomotor dysfunctions that impact their daily life and rehabilitation outcomes. Current clinical tools for function (OMF) assessment are limited in usability. In this proof-of-principle study, we aimed to develop an efficient tool OMF screening assess the feasibility, acceptability, relevance small sample control participants. Methods: We created Rehabilitation Oculomotor Screening Evaluation (ROSE) by reviewing existing assessments. ROSE was pilot-tested on (n = 10) age-matched controls 10). Data regarding characteristics assessment, such as duration, level participant comprehension, experience were also collected. Results: takes <20 min (x¯ 12.5), easy complete (agreement x¯ 4.6/5), well-accepted 4.8/5). Patients scored higher all subtests total score 34.8 vs. 8.9 controls). Most did not provoke any symptoms, especially controls. There no significant between-group differences symptom provocation. This study shows feasible, acceptable, relevant adult patients. Conclusions: needs further evaluation reliability testing validation larger samples diverse neurological conditions. Establishing norms various ages, sexes, populations should be considered deployment tool.
