Abstract Pakistan has experienced several devastating earthquakes, including the 2005 Kashmir earthquake, which resulted in significant loss of life and damage. Mingora City, located Seismic Zone 3, is particularly vulnerable requires seismic evaluations retrofitting buildings to prevent future casualties building collapses. Due high costs complexity assessments, it impractical assess all buildings. This study used FEMA P-154 Rapid Visual Screening (RVS) method 210 The also examined local residents’ risk perceptions through interviews. Findings revealed that most had plan vertical irregularities, such as short columns or soft storeys, over 90% fall within damage grades 4 5, highlighting urgent need for retrofitting. Poor construction quality lack maintenance were noted, with 37% showing Public awareness earthquake safety was low, 89.5% residents agreed on better education. highlights public campaigns risks safety.

In Mexico, approximately 6.5 million tons of plastic waste is generated, which 38–58% improperly managed and has the potential to leak into environment. Furthermore, producing natural aggregates associated with unsustainable use non-renewable resources. this sense, work aimed evaluate influence that recycled from have on behavior concrete. Coarse thermoplastic paint (TP) paving were prepared incorporated four mixes, concentrations 5 20%. addition, three mixes fine PET evaluated as one reference mix. The studied properties slump, compressive strength, flexural rebound number, density, absorption, porosity. results indicate both significant for in concrete, including structural use, when replacement percentages around 5% are considered, property losses not exceeding 8%. Their proposed active mobility infrastructure, up 20% analyzed study. Finally, it necessary analyze incorporation mitigating environmental impacts, well durability properties.
