Abstract The present study covers aloe vera biodiesel (AVBD) production from the extracted (AV) oil followed by their performance and emission in presence of SiO 2 additive with diesel engine (DE). maximum yield 94 % was obtained catalyst dose (1.4 g), Methanol/Oil ratio (1:4), Time (120 min) Temperature (60 °C). effect AVBD fossil (FD) based blending mixtures (BM) containing 20 BD variable concentration (0–100 ppm) has been used DE study. Five different BM 0, 25, 50, 75 & 100 ppm named as BM0, BM25 BM50, BM75, BM100 respectively have tested DE. prepared fuels on terms BTE, BSFC, EGT. Emissions CO, CO , HC, NOx flue gas. results reveal that for BM100, BTE EGT increased 14.73 11.96 compared to but BSFC decreased 14.25 %. such HC 26.38 25 But 9.8 46.15 FD. Overall, increases enhanced characteristics.
