Abstract In current investigation micro arc oxidation of Ti6Al7Nb alloy was done to improve its surface properties and corrosion resistance. Mixture Na 2 SiO 3 , PO 4 12H O KOH is used as electrolyte. MAO treated specimens were examined using x-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) examine their morphology phase composition. It observed that electrolyte composition simultaneously included in the growing oxide layer during process. From electrochemical study it found resistance increases EIS testing 0.9% NaCl solution. frequency, duty cycle, processing time effect roughness, thickness, hardness coating. Out above mention parameters frequency cycle has major impact on performance parameters. The objective find out effects process coating such hardness, roughness At 50%, 500 Hz, 300 mA duration 7.5 min, highest thickness 32.96 μm 3.3680 obtained. Process have influence pore size, biggest average size 3.8519 obtained at min. Grey relational analysis determine which variable most grey technique, mA, min are ideal for higher better relation also significant after then last time.
