The nitrogen cycle is the biogeochemical by which converted into multiple chemical forms as it circulates among atmospheric, terrestrial, and marine ecosystems, conversion of can be carried out through both biological physical processes. Important processes in include fixation, ammonification, nitrification, denitrification. majority Earth's atmosphere (78%) atmospheric nitrogen, making largest source nitrogen. However, has limited availability for use, leading to a scarcity usable many types ecosystems. particular interest ecologists because affect rate key ecosystem processes, including primary production decomposition. Human activities such fossil fuel combustion, use artificial fertilizers, release wastewater have dramatically altered global cycle. modification negatively natural environment system also human health. Organic fertilizer substitution is an effective measure for increasing both the quantity and quality of wheat grain while reducing chemical input. However, effects nitrogen (N) combined with organic on yield, protein content plant N accumulation translocation, use efficiency, soil fertility, apparent surplus nitrate-N residue in rain-fed drought-prone areas remains limited. In this study, field experiments were conducted over four consecutive seasons (2019-2023) at two sites treatments: zero application (ZN), farmer (FN), reduced 20% FN (RN), substituting RN (OSN). The results showed that compared ZN treatment, FN, OSN treatments increased yield its components, aboveground anthesis maturity stages, pre-anthesis post-anthesis accumulation, fertility. Compared by 17.12% 15.03%, 3.31% 17.15%, 17.78% 15.58%, harvest index 2.63% 4.45% averaged across years sites, respectively. Moreover, contents matter, total N, available P K 0-20 20-40 cm layers, decreased 0-100 cm, pH layer. Fundamentally, study suggests integrating a reduction from conventional practices utilization to replace (OSN) represents strategy. This approach shows promise enhancing efficiency. Additionally, it supports improvement fertility simultaneously residues regions.

The combined application of chemical and organic fertilizers has been recognized to enhance soil fertility foster the microbial ecosystem. However, optimal ratio in oilseed rape cultivation is still uncertain, role rhizosphere effect unclear. Thus, this study aimed elucidate impacts varying ratios on structure potential functionalities non-rhizosphere communities. interplay communities with properties root exudates was investigated controlled pot cultivations receiving fertilizers. Results indicated clear segregation bacterial community, influenced by both fertilization treatments effects. community significantly correlated nitrate nitrogen, acids, dissolved carbon (DOC) content. Rhizosphere effects led increased bacteria abundance, reduced diversity, decreased network stability. Notably, F3 treatment 25% 75% showed a higher abundance at 1.43 × 10 11 copies g −1 dry soil, accompanied species genetic ecological complexity. This also yielded highest aboveground biomass rape. risk plant pathogenicity. reveals impact function, shedding light establishment more effective schemes for agriculture.

Introduction: Tobacco, as an economic crop in our country, not only requires changes cultivation practices but also benefits from reasonable fertilization to enhance yield and quality. Microbial organic fertilizers (MOFs) have received considerable attention recent years; however, the relationship between rhizosphere soil microorganisms of tobacco plants physicochemical properties with MOFs remains poorly understood. Methods: This study established experimental control groups, employing a five-point sampling method collect samples leaves at four different growth stages. High-throughput 16S rRNA gene sequencing was conducted analyze microbial community structure, while physical characteristics were examined. Results Discussion: The results indicated that MOF reduced uptake ammonium nitrogen by stages, promoted dispersion community, significantly altered structure. At phylum level, Actinobacteriota Proteobacteria are first second dominant bacterial phyla community. Significantly, during prosperous stage tobacco, relative abundance (14.90%) group lower than (19.87%), whereas group, (22.99%) higher (22.06%). Furthermore, assessment leaf morphology, yield, quality demonstrated application resulted 21.93% increase 27.38% value per unit area. nicotine content slightly decreased. In summary, this demonstrates can improve communities leaves, providing valuable insights into effects on altering improving

Selenium (Se) is an essential trace element that plays a critical role in human tissue formation, metabolism, and physiological functions. However, many individuals worldwide suffer from Se deficiency diseases. This study aims to evaluate the impact of Se-tolerant LF-17 agents exogenous Na2SeO3 application on growth, enzyme activity, metabolic characteristics rape seedlings. Treatment LF-3 (inoculation agent Na2SeO3, with soil concentration 5 mg/kg) led 38.62% increase plant height 116.7% fresh weight. And treatment also reduced oxidative stress induced by compared LF-2 (with same amount only), as evidenced lower activities SOD, POD, CAT, well less content malondialdehyde. Furthermore, upregulation pathways such "cuticle, suberine, wax biosynthesis" "flavonoid biosynthesis," "terpenoid backbone enhanced plant's resistance revealed non-targeted metabolomics sequencing method. approach offers promising applications for improving bioavailability crops, mitigating toxicity, addressing global challenges expected contribute fulfilling supplementation needs population.

The effect of organic fertilizer substitution (OFS) on crop micronutrients often varies due to differences in environmental conditions, soil types, and nutrient status. This study aims evaluate the effects OFS wheat grain bioavailability across five sites Shandong Province from 2021 2022. All experimental included common treatments: control, traditional farming, optimized practices, 15 30% for chemical nitrogen. results revealed regional variation yield; average yield was 9.06 Mg ha-1, highest 9.58 ha-1 15%OF treatment. No significant micronutrient availability were observed. Compared treatments exhibited increases Fe (24.69%) Zn (19.19%) contents. significantly increased by reducing PA/Fe PA/Zn molar ratios. Organic also nutritional yields reduced current health burden Zn. Under pessimistic scenario, treatment burdens deficiencies 2.38 1.31%, respectively, whereas these mitigation efficiencies substantially 7.15 3.94% under optimistic scenario. In conclusion, improved content without affecting yield, which enhanced quality nutrients, alleviate deficiency. findings demonstrate that a 15% optimally enhances while maintaining offering region-specific evidence sustainable agricultural practices mitigate improve human outcomes.

More than one-third of the global population relies on wheat as a staple food. To ultimately reduce inorganic nitrogen (N) usage through applying an organic fertilizer under drip irrigation and evaluate its effect yield, quality, N utilization efficiency winter (variety Jimai 22) various systems, experiment was established conducted in Yanghe Town, Jiaozhou City, from October 2020 to June 2022. The trial designed with seven treatments, including control (CK), achieve 25% total reduction all treatments except for CK. These included urea CK, one-time application (FU1), water-soluble furrow (FO1), (DO1), two-time (DO2), (DU1), (DU2). results indicated that reduced plus significantly improved dry matter accumulation (DMA) absorption thus increased grain yield. DO2 treatment exhibited 15.5% 16.9% increase DMA post-anthesis, respectively, compared those CK season 2020–2021. Overall, apparent use topdressing (DO1, DO2, DU1, DU2) over two years comparison fertilization traditional while DU2 most agronomic efficiency. Therefore, some fertilizers weight thousand-grains yield wheat, especially treatment, 11.7 t/ha 10.9 increase, both growing seasons years, also extensibility flour dough grains harvested rainy (2020–2021) less (2021–2022) seasons. we strongly recommend be option quality conditions this experiment.
