Directional liquid transport fibrous matrices (DLTFMs) have the unique ability to direct movement in a single direction through their thickness. Beyond inherent function, DLTFMs can also enhance effectiveness of additional functionalities. This review focuses on recent advances DLTFMs, particularly role DLTs enhancing secondary functions.
