Heavy metal pollution affects the stability of soil ecosystem causes food safety problems and human health risks. Thus, effective heavy remediation technologies are urgently needed. In this study, removal ability mechanism Leclercia adecarboxylata H25 (H25) Enterobacter cloacae J1 (J1) against Pb Cd was investigated, effects Pb, co-contaminated with H25/J1 maize straw biochar explored. The SEM-EDS XRD indicated formation precipitates on bacterial surface after Pb/Cd exposure. FTIR analysis showed that functional groups (C=O, N-H, –PO4 etc.) cell were involved in removal. Application individually or together declined acid-extractable fraction while enriching residual soil. This accompanied by decreased bioavailability elements increased urease, catalase, sucrase activity. Meanwhile, application bacteria enhanced biomass accumulation depressed pakchoi plants. BC+H25 treatment 51.41% 25.97%, respectively. BC+J1 49.56% 24.47%, Overall, strains could be used for situ polluted soil, synergistic obtained when apply combination biochar. study provides a way environmental sites contaminated metals.
