Peanut straw, a lignocellulosic agricultural residue rich in cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, has significant potential for biochar production, which may enhance the anaerobic digestion (AD) process. The addition of can effectively AD However, role peanut straw co-digestion mixed substrate remains underexplored. This study innovatively employs as an exogenous additive cow manure corn straw. results demonstrate that optimal methane yield was achieved at dosage 8%, with increase 19.1% compared to control group (832.23 mL). Various doses also facilitated degradation varying extents, highest removal rate 54.1% when added 8%. Furthermore, enhanced microbial community structure. Specifically, inclusion 8% increased relative abundance Methanosarcina by 2.8%, while 6% elevated Chloroflexota 1.4%. contributes sustainable use waste supports development biochar-enhanced improved management energy recovery.
