Abstract A novel modified sensor based on electropolymerization of hippuric acid (HA) using cyclic voltammetry within the potential window − 1 to 1.5 V for 10 cycles at a scan rate 100 mV s −1 over multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) battery graphite electrode (BGE). Poly (HA)/MWCNTs/BGE exhibited two linearity ranges 3.00 × −3 1.00 µM (5.29 −4 – 0.18 µg/ml) and 5.00 3 (0.88− 176.22 with limit detection (LOD) 0.06 −2 (1.06 quantification (LOQ) 2.00 (3.52 µg/ml). The poly was successfully applied determination SER in presence tryptophan human blood serum recovery 98.31–105.47% RSD values 3.02– 4.77%. Green chemistry metrics : national environmental index (NEMI), analytical greenness metric (AGREE), Raynie Driver, green procedure (GAPI), eco-scale were employed indicated that proposed can be classified as an excellent method, achieving score 84.

Caffeic acid (CA) based polyurethane (PU) films were synthesized and characterized for the simultaneous determination of melatonin (MT) serotonin (5-HT). The CA PUs using a polyol mixture 4,4'-diisocyanodiphenylmethane (MPI), polyethylene glycol-200 (PEG), CA. PEG–CA monomer units in varied molar ratios 99:1, 97:3, 95:5, 90:10. by FTIR spectroscopy thermal analysis. These PU coated onto screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs) with varying thicknesses used MT 5-HT. Electrochemical responses 5-HT evaluated differential pulse voltammetry. limit detection correlation coefficient 280 µM 0.9797, respectively, while 5-HT, was 150 0.9690. precision, expressed as relative standard deviation 2.633% 4.668% findings suggest that PU-modified hold potential medical biomedical applications.
