Image segmentation is one of the key areas in computer vision, as it allows for identification and isolation distinct regions, objects or structures within an image, which critical subsequent analysis processing visual data. This article discusses fundamental principles, capabilities limitations various methods. Special emphasis placed on use Python programming language, which, thanks to its rich ecosystem libraries such OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-image, has become standard tool development implementation vision algorithms. The prospects further technologies are discussed context increasing data volumes requirements accuracy efficiency analysis. In article, practical examples applying models agriculture also presented.
